Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Playsway (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides a music promotion and distribution platform for DJs, labels, and artists. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Playsway, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information we collect

Account information

Name, email address, password (stored hashed), organization name, profile photo, and preferences you set.

Content you upload

Audio files, artwork, campaign drafts, contact lists you import, messages, smart link configurations, and any metadata you attach (titles, genres, BPM, release dates, etc.).

Usage data

Device type, IP address, browser user-agent, pages visited, actions within Playsway (uploads, sends, downloads), timestamps, and aggregate analytics on campaigns you send (opens, clicks, downloads).

Payment information

Billing and card details are processed by Stripe — we do not store card numbers on our servers. We retain a Stripe customer identifier, plan, and subscription status.

3. How we use information

  • Provide, operate, and improve Playsway features.
  • Authenticate you and secure your account.
  • Deliver the campaigns and submissions you create to their intended recipients.
  • Send transactional emails (password resets, email verification, billing notifications).
  • Provide aggregate analytics on your campaigns and link performance.
  • Respond to support requests.
  • Detect abuse, fraud, or breaches of our Terms of Service.

4. Third-party services

We rely on carefully chosen sub-processors to run Playsway:

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) — hosting (EC2), object storage (S3/R2-compatible), and transactional email delivery (SES).
  • Stripe — subscription payments and billing.
  • MongoDB Atlas — primary database.
  • Cloudflare — DNS and edge delivery.
  • Google — optional “Sign in with Google” OAuth.

Each provider only processes data strictly necessary for the service they provide.

5. Cookies and tracking

Playsway uses cookies and equivalent browser storage for authentication (keeping you signed in), preferences, and basic analytics. Campaign emails may include a 1×1 tracking pixel and click-tracking redirects so senders can see opens and clicks on the promos they send. Recipients can disable image loading in their mail client to opt out of open tracking.

6. Data retention

We keep account information and content for as long as your account is active. If you cancel, your data is retained for a limited grace period (typically 90 days) so you can reactivate without losing work, after which data that exceeds the Free plan limits is removed. You can request immediate deletion at any time.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (GDPR in the EU/UK, CCPA in California, and similar laws elsewhere) you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict processing of your personal data. You can exercise most rights directly from Settings, or by emailing us at the address below.

8. Security

We transport data over TLS, store passwords using industry-standard hashing (bcrypt), and restrict access to production systems to authorized personnel. No service on the internet is 100% secure — if you discover a vulnerability, please let us know.

9. Children

Playsway is not directed to children under 16. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

10. International transfers

Playsway is operated from the United States. If you use the service from outside the US, your information will be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the US and other countries where our sub-processors operate.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email to your registered address at least 30 days before they take effect.
