DX | DRUM MACHINE

Pads, kits, and grooves. DX is the drum brain — play it, flip kits, drag the groove out.

Playsway DX

What it is

DX is a VST/AU drum machine: 16 pads, kit browsing, insert FX, and grooves — the Crimson Pulse interface aimed at producers who want drums that feel like an instrument, not a folder of WAVs.

Load a kit, play the pads, shape the groove, then drag patterns or hits into your session. Same Community wire as SX when you want new kits — but the machine comes first.

How it works

  1. 01Open DX in your DAW. Browse kits or load your own. Map hits across 16 pads.
  2. 02Play live or sequence. Shape swing and feel. Route pads through the FX chain when you need grit or space.
  3. 03Capture the groove and drag it into the arrangement — or keep playing DX as the drum track.

Inside the machine

  • 16-pad kit

Full kit layout with clear pad roles — kick, snare, hats, percussion — ready to play from MIDI.

  • Kit browser

Flip through kits fast. Keep the ones that hit. Build your own when the stock set isn’t enough.

  • Performance feel

Velocity, swing, and groove tools so the grid doesn’t sound like a grid.

  • Insert FX

Shape the kit in place — saturation, space, and chain routing without bouncing out.

  • Drag out

Pull grooves and hits into the DAW timeline when you’re ready to arrange.

  • Community kits

When you want fresh kits from producers, they’re there — after you know what DX is for.

DX is the drum machine. Download it, drop it on a MIDI track, and play.
